Barings Law announced as a finalist in the British Insurance Technology Awards

Barings Law is thrilled to announce that we have been named as a finalist in the prestigious British Insurance Technology Awards.

The awards – sponsored by Insurance Post – recognise companies that are digitising and revolutionising the industry through innovative technology solutions.

Our recognition in the ‘Best Use of Technology’ in the Legal Services category highlights our commitment to using technology to enhance our legal services.

Barings’ nomination showcases a strategic migration to Zoho CRM, which has streamlined operations, automated tasks and led to faster case resolutions. This transformation, which took place in November, has not only increased service capacity and reduced operational costs but also significantly heightened client satisfaction. We are delighted that recent satisfaction surveys reveal that the total of clients who would recommend Barings Law to a friend has now exceeded 2,000, which equates to a 93.2% approval rate.

In addition to our increase in satisfied customers, our operatives have also increased the number of clients who believe they can access the advice and information they need. Ahead of the CRM streamlining, surveys showed that clients felt less than 90% of queries could be answered immediately. That figure has now risen to 92.1%.

We also score highly in the interaction and friendliness scales. Our clients’ average ratings currently stand at 9.56/10, and our friendliness rating is also up slightly, at 9.68.

Our cloud-based technology has also enhanced our data security measures, making it more robust and less susceptible to any potential threats that may occur, further cementing our position as an industry leader in legal services.

Melanie Cope Machial, Head of Marketing and Technology, expressed her excitement about being shortlisted, and said: “I am incredibly proud and excited for Barings Law to be recognised as a finalist in the British Insurance Technology Awards. This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team who utilise our tech resources to their fullest potential.

“We believe we are, first and foremost, a tech firm before a law firm. Without our innovative technology, we would not be able to provide the exceptional standard of legal services that our clients deserve. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do, and we embrace it daily to continue to enhance our services.”

Legaltech trailblazer Melanie Cope - Head of Marketing and Technology at Barings Law

The British Insurance Technology Awards acknowledge the work of firms that address the challenges faced by clients in the industry, aligning perfectly with our focus on sustainability and improving client experience.

Barings Law is committed to streamlining the client journey and finding innovative solutions to operate more efficiently and sustainably without compromising on quality. Our investment in technology frees our legal teams from administrative burdens, enabling them to focus on dedicating their time to deliver exceptional legal representation.

Implementing intelligent document generation technology has revolutionised our workflow. Fee earners are now spending less time on drafting and more time on working on legal arguments and providing exceptional client care. This, in turn, has resulted in quicker case resolutions and a more personalised service experience for our clients.

At Barings Law, we are proud to be reshaping the legal industry through technology and we will continue to commit ourselves to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

The winning firms will be announced at the awards night, to be held at the London Marriott Hotel on June 18.
