After The Event (ATE) insurance is taken out in case your claim is unsuccessful and we are required to pay disbursements such as the opponent’s costs, expert reports and barrister and court fees.
An ATE insurance policy protects you from any liability for meeting the costs and expenses involved in litigation, meaning the financial risk to you is drastically reduced when making a compensation claim.
